Travel Note
If you have an extra seat available to bring someone from the airport in Denver, please consider putting your name down and a time you are departing Denver. We can reduce the number of cars driving up the mountain and everyone can reduce the cost of gas, rentals, or ubers. :) By request, I put together a live google spreadsheet where you can put in your arrival/departure times and info to coordinate rides (it will autosave as you type). Only you invitees with this link will be able to access the spreadsheet. It's like a bulletin board in a coffee shop....right?
Flight
Denver is probably the best bet to fly in and then rent a car or one of the other options listed below.
Hotel
This is where we will have our "after party" hot tub, and hanging out at the pub, or our suite. You can also check air b n b for this location, since many of the suites and condos are also owner-occupied.
Hotel
This is a brand new establishment about 3.5 miles NW of the Inn at Silvercreek (towards Grand Lake), which has tiny homes and cabins for rent. The coupon code is for 3 nights for the price of 2.
Discount Code - 2TCOB2G1
Train
We've take the Amtrak a few times, and it is a great option if you have time. It only departs once a day (early morning 8:05am from Denver Union Station-which you can get to by the light rail from the airport) and it only departs once a day from Granby (around 3pm to get to Denver around 6:40p) but at least it is cheap, from $25-$65 each way depending on when you buy... Also- you can stop in Winterpark or Fraser if you prefer to stay there.
House Or Rental
Look for the Inn at Silver Creek for rentals. This is where most of us will be sleeping and staying up all night chatting and sipping wine or beer and lots of water, because of the elevation!
Travel Note
Seems that Uber or Lyft from DIA would cost over $100 each way... which could be cheaper than renting a car... and if you have multiple people it would be cheaper than the airport shuttle Home James of $88/person.
Shuttle
February 28, 2020 12:00 am - 12:00 am
Home James is a shuttle from the Denver Airport... Here is the website: https://www.ridehj.com/ I have taken it many times, but it is not as economical if there is more than one person travelling.
Travel Note
There is a free shuttle from winter park to Granby and around Granby. Be sure to check the times and routes against google maps to ensure you don't wait too long.
Hotel
There are a few options left in town at Littletree Inn, which would be near the bus stop. Or there are some condos at Summit, or Mountainside, which are close to the Inn at Silvercreek and are still available for reasonable rates. You can always check out the roomshare spreadsheet above and post that you are interested in splitting a condo... all of our friends are nice! We promise! You are our friend, right?! ;D
