We are deeply moved by this cause, as we currently sponsor two children, Mwalimu and Tevin, in East Africa. Because of grant funds, our gifts have 11X their regular impact, which will provide emergency food, clean water, access to life-saving medical care, and more to children and families fighting for their lives.

Isabelle and I are both very passionate about child sponsorships. Even before we met each other, we had both sponsored a child. We have discovered how fulfilling it is caring for someone else, especially someone who could never pay us back. One of my favorite dates with Isabelle has been writing letters to our "children" and praying for them. And we get so excited when they write us back :) Research shows that Child Sponsorship programs are life-changing. Compared to their peers, sponsored children are more likely to stay in school for longer, find salaried jobs and grow to become leaders in their communities and churches.

Did you know that more than 1,000 children under age 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by unsafe water? That’s more than AIDS and malaria combined. World Vision is one of the largest providers of water in the developing world, reaching a new person with clean water every 30 seconds.

The gift of a farm animal can completely revolutionize the way of life for a struggling family. They are able to not only help care for themselves, but they can also generate an income by selling products such as milk and eggs at market. As an added bonus, the first offspring are given to another family in the community to help spread the blessing.
