Flight
We have seen prices of flights range from $400-750 round trip, for the time of year we are getting married in flights are seen around $450-500 (Note: this is from the Syracuse area). We use an app called Hopper which tracks the prices of flights over the months and currently it is estimated that flights will drop to as low as $449 from now until February 11th! We highly encourage you to get the app or keep looking between now and then at flight prices as we do not want everyone paying anymore than they need to! Also for those who live in Syracuse, we have found that there are flights from around $460 out of Buffalo. Just be mindful of flight lengths as there are many that are 18+ hours of travel time! Travel Note
Since flights land in Belize City and the wedding is in Placencia additional travel is necessary. Placencia is located 3 hours away by car or a 1/2-1 hr plane ride. The cost of a round trip flight from Belize City to Placencia ranges up to $232. However, there are car rentals in both areas which would make it easy to rent a car for the day to make the trip and then return it once in Placencia. Many guests are planning to make the flight in on Wed the 19th and will be carpooling down to the houses. This route is a main road which includes an hour through the rain forest as well as many fun adventures such as the Belize zoo and zip lining along the way. This would be a very inexpensive and fun way to see Belize and travel to the houses. There is no need for a vehicle once at the houses as we have golf carts available to us, however it is your preference. There are also shuttles available from the airport to our location. However, we can figure this out as things get closer!
Travel Note
+There are 3 days of a private chef included in the rental of the houses. Meaning, that the chefs will prepare 3 meals for everyone at a cost of $20-25 per person per day. The house manager set a general idea of what food for these three days might entail which includes items such as omelettes with fruit salads for breakfast, enchiladas for lunch, and items such as steak or lobster for dinner. If anyone has allergies or restrictions please be sure to let us know so we can accomodate. +Grocery stores are within minutes of the homes if anyone chooses to buy and prepare their own meals, which is a welcomed option +Many restaurants within a short distance from the house to eat at!
House Or Rental
We have rented out 3 homes (one is bridal party only) currently to include the "Tipsy Gecko" This home has 5 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths and can accommodate up to 14 people. It is located directly on the beach, next door to both of the other rented homes and also has its own pool. We are housing people in the homes on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis. Between rental costs for the week, amenities, as well as security deposits and service fees, it will be $500 per person for the entire week to stay in either home. During this week there is included 3 days of a private chef who will cook meals at a cost of $20-25 per person per day. The house manager sent over a general list of meals they serve over those three days (customizable) however includes meals such as grilled steak, lobster, etc to put it in perspective. A maid service daily is also included. We have a lot of interest in the homes and they are filling up quickly so anyone who is interested please contact Carlin or Michael ASAP.

It is located directly on the beach about 2 miles from the other rented homes and also has its own pool. If there is an abundance of interest in staying in the beautiful homes and are people are serious about staying in them we will go ahead and book an additional house. Between rental costs for the week, amenities, as well as security deposits and service fees, it will be $500 per person for the entire week to stay in the homes. During this week there is included 3 days of a private chef who will cook meals, as well as maid service (daily). We have a lot of interest in the homes and they are filling up quickly so anyone who is interested please contact Carlin or Michael ASAP.

It is located directly on the beach about 2 miles from the other rented homes and also has its own pool. Between rental costs for the week, amenities, as well as security deposits and service fees, it will be $500 per person for the entire week to stay in the homes. Hotel
The Placencia Hotel is less than a mile next to the homes locations and allows for access to pools and beach for anyone staying in the homes. Please be mindful that the cost of the hotel for the cheapest room is $197 per night. If an additional person is to room in the same room it is an additional $35 fee and they do charge a 19% tax/service fee on top of that. This brings the room to around $235/night (1 person) or $270/night (2 people).
