Michael first noticed Camille one early morning on the car ride to rowing practice, struck by how chipper she was at such an hour. He waited two years to ask her out, but when he finally did, she enthusiastically said yes. The two history majors began dating during Michael’s senior year at UVM and weathered the pandemic together in Burlington. During that time, they adopted Pushkin, a 15-pound, water-loving tabby cat. In 2022, Camille moved to Louisville to pursue medical school, and Michael followed the next fall after landing a fantastic project management job at a local design and build firm. Their little family grew again in fall 2023 with the addition of Meriwether, a 12-pound orange lovebug. The couple bought a home together in the spring of 2025 and have been renovating it ever since—thanks to Michael’s know-how and Camille’s eagerness to learn. Michael popped the question at 11:11 on 7/6/2025 in a place very special to them: the blueberry field at Hartland Pond. Camille was completely surprised but over the moon to accept his proposal.
