Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Michael McCloskey and Brian Rodin
Meet our friends and family that will be walking us down the aisle! When asking each member of their wedding parties to be in the wedding, Mike and Brian assigned a color from the rainbow flag for each person whom they felt exemplified the color's meaning based off the Gilbert Baker rainbow flag design. Colors and meanings are Red (Life), Orange (Healing), Yellow (Sunlight), Green (Nature), Blue (Serenity), and Purple (Spirit).

Matt Alspach

Groomsman (Red)

I first met Matt while playing Stonewall kickball in 2014. One of my first memories of him was during a Halloween game where he dressed up like Theresa Giudice in prison (orange jumpsuit and all!). From that moment on, I knew he was going to be one of my best friends! Even though the horrid insults we throw at each other may make it seem otherwise!

Bria Schecker

Groomswoman (Red)

Bria is one of my oldest and dearest friends! We first met on the bus in sixth grade, soon after that played a raucous game of spin the bottle in my basement, which culminated in Bria being my first girlfriend. After that didn't work out (for obvious reasons), we became best friends and have been so ever since. Our friendship has taken us to Philadelphia, Boston, Colorado, and countless adventures in between. I'm so lucky I get to have her by my side!

Bill McCloskey

Groomsman (Orange)

This is an easy relationship to explain. Bill is my brother and we've been brothering since 1989. Though we haven't always been best buds as the list of objects I've thrown at his head will show, we've grown up a lot and grown to like each other.

Ava Rapp

Groomswoman (Orange)

Ava is also another friend I met in school. She came into my life in homeroom in tenth grade and the bond between me, Bria, and her was instantaneous. Although Ava went to complete high school away from Radnor, our bond has never broken in 20 years. Ava was one of the few friends from my earlier days that came back to Philly and we had such great times in our mid-20s; I'm so grateful for all the wonderful times we've been able to share together!

Charlie Leizear

Groomsman (Yellow)

Charlie was the captain of my first Stonewall Kickball team. A team that I was put on completely by chance! Luckily for me, we clicked immediately and have been looning about ever since. Charlie's work has taken him to LA, but cackling and frivolity ensues when he returns to Philadelphia!

Nicole Rodin

Groomswoman (Yellow)

As the last name implies, Nicole is my sister from the same mister! While anyone who knew the family growing up knows we didn't always see eye-to-eye, our relationship now is the complete opposite. Nicole and I have the same sense of humor and laugh constantly when with each other. The bond we have now as adults is so strong and I'm so fortunate for that.

Christopher Hinkle

Groomsman (Green)

Ironically, I met Christopher through another guy I was dating. Obviously, Christopher's friendship was by far the best thing to come out of that relationship! Christopher not only has a green thumb but makes people feel natural and at ease, especially me. There's nobody who can hold a hysterical conversation about European history with me quite like Christopher!

Jules Winters

Groomswoman (Green)

Jules and I met because she was dating my groomsmen, Andrew, in eleventh grade. While that didn't work out, the silver lining is that Jules and I forged the strongest of friendships. We've been best friends, roommates, and (much to Mike's chagrin) Facebook domestic partners. If I'm on the phone with someone, it's most likely Jules. We share everything together and I'm so happy we get to share this experience together.

Steve MacCrory

Groomsman (Blue)

Steve and I met doing Stonewall Kickball in 2014. I was placed on his team by chance and how lucky I was. Though Steve stopped doing Stonewall to get his Sundays back, the years in between have been filled with unforgettable group trips, wonderful nights out, and musings about Domino's Pizza.

Andrew Loewith

Groomsman (Blue)

Andrew and I met in theater class in tenth grade and, as the ONLY two guys in the class, we instantly formed a friendship. It was when he took a risk and invited me on a week-long cruise with his family (after only really being friends for several months) that our lifelong bond was solidified. Andrew is the brother I never had and the best guy you'll ever meet!

Samantha Hess

Groomswoman (Purple)

I met Samantha at the first meeting of Citamard, Millersville's drama club, in 2008. She suggested we do a Drag Ball as a social event. While the Drag Ball never happened we've been friends ever since. Hopefully this wedding will get close!

Tim Popp

Groomsman (Purple)

Tim and I may not have the history as others on my list, but what we lack in time, we definitely make up for in experience. Like Bea and Angela, we are bosom buddies to the end and I can't imagine my life in Philly without him by my side. When I explained to Tim why he is purple/spirit, I wrote that "everyone needs a friend like Tim" and I'm so proud he'll be standing with me at my wedding!

Emma McRodin

Ring Bearer

Hardly a description needed but this is our sweet baby. As she makes our home complete, she’ll make our marriage complete by delivering our rings.
