What should I wear?

Answer

Chainmail optional... just kidding! Dress code is business casual. Examples are suits with no tie and cocktail dresses. We also suggest not to wear stilettos as some of the ground will be soft. Look good and comfortable but nothing too fancy!

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Both ceremony and reception are at the same venue so once you are there, you don't have to move again (phew), until the dancing starts!

Indoors, Outdoors, or what?

Answer

If the weather holds out, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside while the reception will be indoors. However, if weather doesn't cooperate, everything will be indoors.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Check out the travel section for more details . There will be shuttles leaving from both hotel block hotels; The Holiday Inn and the Hilton Garden Inn. Shuttle service will leave from the Holiday Inn at 3:30 and 3:45 from the Garden Inn.

What about parking?

Answer

There is ample and FREE parking at the venue! You can leave your car overnight.

Do we need money for the bar?

Answer

Only singles for tipping great service and cash for the after party bar.

Why is this night different than all other nights?

Answer

Unlike other weddings, there will be no sit-down dinner. Once the reception starts at 6:00, feel free to eat when you want, drink when you want, and dance when you want! The night is yours to enjoy however you see fit.

What’s for dinner?

Answer

We will have three food stations themed for international places that are near and dear to our hearts: German Station (where Mike studied abroad and what he teaches): - Chicken Schnitzel - Potato Pancakes - Green Beans Spanish Station (where Brian studied abroad and fell in love with travel): - Shrimp and Crab Paella - Albondigas (little meatballs) - Chorizo Empanadas Meditteranean Station (where some of our favorite destinations are): - Roasted Fennel Pomodoro Penne (with Gluten-Free option) - Spanakopita - Caesar Salad

What if I have special dietary needs?

Answer

The venue has your dietary restrictions and will be making any menu modifications as needed. If you missed it or if something changes, feel free to e-mail us.

After party??

Answer

There will be an after party at the venue after the reception ends at 10:00 and will go until 11:00. It will be cash bar.

How do I get home?

Answer

There will be one shuttle leaving after the reception ends at 10:00pm and another shuttle will be leaving once the after party ends at 11:00pm.

Please take lots of pics and feel free to post them wherever, but please try and tag us in anything you want to so we can steal them from the internet later!

Is the event wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yup! The stairs to the dining area has a wheelchair ramp.

Where are the grooms staying?

Answer

We will be staying at an AirBnB with a majority of the wedding party in the city. The Holiday Inn is near us but feel free to book an AirBnB near us if you want: 134 East Chestnut St.
