The Great Northern Hotel

We recommend booking accommodation at The Great Northern Hotel. This is where the reception will be hosted and where we will be staying Thursday (April 2nd) to Monday (April 6th). The hotel is just a short stroll from Bundoran Main Street, with shops, cafes, and essentials nearby. We encourage booking early, as April is the start of the busy season in Donegal.

Getting to Bundoran | 1. Renting a Car

This will be the quickest and most flexible option - please note it is about a 3.5-hour drive to Bundoran. If you plan to explore County Donegal or surrounding areas having a rental car will be key as public transport is limited.

Getting to Bundoran | 2. Public Transport

Route 30 (Bus Eireann's Expressway Route 30) departs from Dublin Airport (Zone 12, Stop 8) and runs directly to Ballyshannon. It operates daily with multiple departures. Ballyshannon is around 5 miles from Bundoran - from this point you can catch a local bus or taxi to Bundoran town and/or your accommodation. We will share taxi contacts closer to the date, and pickups can/should be arranged in advance.
