4x4 Beaches

Our wedding ceremony and reception will be held at our beach house, Villa Valhalla, located on the 4WD beaches of Corolla, North Carolina. For those of you unfamiliar with the area and beach driving, a 4WD vehicle (not AWD!) is required in order to safely travel the beach road that leads to Villa Valhalla. For our guests that will be traveling via personal/rental vehicle, please familiarize yourselves with Corolla’s beach driving practices, rules and regulations. Plenty of onsite parking will be available.

Flight

Norfolk International Airport

If you prefer to fly into a major airport, Norfolk International is the closest airport to the Outer Banks. Just 82 miles north of the islands, the drive from Norfolk Airport to the Outer Banks takes approximately 2.5 hours.

Hotel

Corolla Village Inn

This is the closest place to our beach house and ceremony that accepts nightly summer rentals. It is also accessible by non 4-wheel drive vehicles. Be sure to make a reservation as soon as possible as there are limited rooms and in OBX, they won’t last long!

Shuttle

Shuttle to the Ceremony

August 20, 2020 5:00 pm - 11:00 pm

A shuttle service provided by Corolla Outback Adventures will be available to and from Villa Valhalla for guests unable to travel the beach road via personal/rental vehicle. Guests staying at the Corolla Village Inn or The Inn at Corolla Lighthouse can take the shuttle service directly from their hotel. All other guests who plan on utilizing the shuttle service will need to meet and park at the Twiddy & Company Vacation Services Office, located at 1142 Ocean Trail, Corolla NC. Please be on location and ready to board the shuttle at 5pm. The shuttle service will also be available beginning at 9pm and ending at 11pm for any guests that wish to return to their hotels/cars.
