Can I stay in Portland and travel to Hood River?

Answer

Of course! But please note, it is an hour away from the wedding venue. Most of our events will also be in/around the Hood River area.

Are there Hotel blocks or room rates?

Answer

Unfortunately there were no room blocks that we could book for the wedding. There are plenty of places to stay though, please see Travel section for recommendations. NOTE: please book early as this is during tourist season in Hood River.

What is the parking/transportation situation?

Answer

There are 67 spots available for guests, please carpool if you can to leave enough room for everyone. As of right now there is no Uber or Lyft in Hood River. The venue does not allow guests to leave cars overnight unless absolutely necessary, if you do, you must pick it up by 8am or it will be towed.

What's the dress code for the Wedding?

Colorful semi-formal, it is likely going to be hot with some wind. Please no jeans. Jackets are optional for men. The majority of the event will be outside in grass so block heels, wedges or flats are recommended. There is also a gravel path leading to the main areas.

Are kids welcome?

Yes, invited children will be included on formal invitations sent out.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We will be having the following events: - Welcome Event on Friday Evening at Common House Hood River - After Party, right after the reception at 10pm (Location TBD) - Goodbye Brunch at 10am at Kickstand Coffee & Kitchen in Hood River. Note: this is a no host event so will be a first come, first serve basis. See weekend events page for more info!

Is Shelby going to be in the wedding?

Answer

No, unfortunately, Shelby is a bit unhinged and we prefer not to worry about her and want everyone to be able to enjoy the day. She will be staying at her favorite doggy hotel with lots of peanut butter kongs and playtime.
