We're getting married!

This is during tourist season for Hood River so please book accommodations sooner than later. We have provided an updated list of Hotels in the Travel section as we know things are booking up fast. A couple of additional areas to look are: White Salmon, WA (10 min away, across the river from Hood River), Cascade Locks, OR (20 min closer to Portland), The Dalles, OR (20 min north past Hood River) and Portland, OR (45min-1hr away)

As many people know, Michael and Gina met in high school marching band. Michael was in the trumpet section with Gina's best friend (and Maid of Honor), Leah, and they both developed a crush on each other. Michael finally asked Gina out on a date to go see the school musical, The Producers, where Gina wasn't actually sure if it was a date or not so she bought her own ticket. They had a wonderful time though! Gina asked Michael to her Jr Prom and a few weeks later, Michael asked her to his Senior Prom. Also a wonderful time! After Senior Prom, Michael asked Gina out but in true teenage fashion, Gina got nervous and rejected him. Michael graduated and they still stayed friends and talked to each other the entire time Michael was in his first year of college. Gina asked Michael out during winter break but in true Michael fashion, he had to make it even by rejecting her. They finally got together when they found out Gina would be attending Cal Poly with Michael. They stayed together through everything and about 6 years in Michael decided to get a dog, Shelby, and made them a happy family of 3. A year or so later, they decided to move to Alameda across the street from the beach and dog park where they thrived for 2 years. In 2023, Gina and Michael decided to take the leap and move out of state to the Pacific Northwest in Vancouver, WA (right outside of Portland). They absolutely love the beauty and calmness where they are and in October 2023, Michael surprised Gina by taking her to an Airbnb near Mt. Hood and proposing in the rain with some of their closest friends hiding to watch and popping out after she said yes! It was the perfect proposal. Gina and Michael are so excited now to get married near Mt Hood in a pear orchard and celebrate with all of their loved ones! 😊
