We’re getting married!

Michael (Mikey) grew up in Castle Rock and attended college at Colorado Mesa University. In October 2023, he moved to Salida to be closer to the mountains, where he eventually joined the Salida Police Department and has been serving as an officer for over a year. Michele grew up between Buena Vista and Salida and has always called the Arkansas Valley home. After college at Colorado State University Pueblo, she returned to Salida to be close to family and now works as a probation officer, a role she’s held for over two years. They officially met in March 2024—thanks to a well-timed introduction from Michele’s brother-in-law. Michele didn’t waste any time and slid into Mikey’s Instagram DMs, leading to a first date filled with drinks, skiing at Monarch, and lunch at Amicas. Shortly after, they realized they had been living just a few houses away from each other all along. By July 2024, they moved in together in Poncha Springs where they enjoy quiet nights at home, mountain adventures, and plenty of laughs thanks to Sage’s endless personality. Mikey proposed at Chalk Lake on September 21, 2025, surprising Michele with a photographer and a moment she’ll never forget. The celebration continued at Mount Princeton Hot Springs, where both families were waiting to celebrate—a reflection of how important family is to them both. They are so excited to be married exactly one year later, September 21, 2026, and can’t wait to celebrate the beginning of forever with the people they love most.
