Things To Do

November is a transition season in Salt Lake City. It may be fall or it could be winter already. We have a few options of things to do but all are weather-dependent.

American Fork Canyon - Rock Climbing

American Fork, UT

American Fork is a great sport climbing area south of SLC. It's limestone and has great shady and sunny climbing for all kinds of weather.

Alta Ski Area - Backcountry Skiing

Alta, UT

If there is snow on the ground and Alta is not yet open, you can go backcountry skiing on the trails! We had our second date at Alta backcountry skiing! Note: Alta may close backcountry skiing access at anytime.

Little Cottonwood Canyon

Salt Lake City, UT

Little Cottonwood Canyon is beautiful! We love backcountry skiing here. Drive up or explore trails.

Big Cottonwood Canyon

Salt Lake City, UT

Driving up Big Cottonwood Canyon is always pretty and you may even see some last-changing fall leaves! If the weather is good, get out and take a hike!

Ensign Peak Trail

Ensign Peak Trailhead, Salt Lake City, UT

Ensign Peak is a short hike that takes you to a little knob that overlooks downtown SLC and the valley. It's pretty and will most likely not have snow!

For all the days along the way
