A fellow Syracuse alum, Russell was Captain of the Cuse’ hockey team shortly after Nolan’s arrival. The two were close friends and teammates throughout college, but their friendship grew much closer after graduation. When Nolan arrived in Philadelphia for an interview, Russ offered his couch to stay on. After accepting the job, Russ was Nolan’s only friend in the new city - welcoming him with open arms and introducing him to new people and places. Russell continues to be a mentor for Nolan but more importantly, a great friend.

Brendan has been a critical part of Nolan’s life, and also, maybe more importantly, Nolan and Gabrielle’s life.
