FAQs

The Wedding Website of Gabrielle Cardina and Nolan Metzler
Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Beach Formal! Think Semi-Formal, but prepare for sandy toes and the Caribbean heat. The ceremony/cocktail hour is on the beach, so prepare to kick off any heels/shoes for that portion. I know it can be tough packing for events like these. You can find a "mood board" for both the Wedding & Welcome Party in the "Gallery" section of our website - scroll to the bottom & click in to each photo!

Question

What are the dates of the trip?

Answer

The date of the wedding is February 24th, 2024 & there will be a welcome party on the 23rd if you are able to join us! There is a minimum 3 night stay required to secure our group rate. Feel free to extend your vacation beyond those 3 days if you'd like, also at a discounted rate while booking through our TravelSmiths booking page!

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Since this is an international trip, you do need a passport. If you have one, be sure to check the expiry date! If you do not have a passport, it is a good idea to apply early to be sure you receive it in time for the trip.

Question

Do I need to book through TravelSmiths?

Answer

For the best experience, best pricing, and to stay within our resort block; we kindly ask you to book through our Travel Agency. You are in great hands with Sally Jane Smith & her team!

Question

Do I need travel insurance?

Answer

It is highly recommended by our agent to get travel insurance as soon as you book. You never know what circumstances may come and this way you will be covered if you need it.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, our wedding events are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your invitation. If you received a plus one, they would appear under your name when you RSVP online.

Question

Can we bring our children to the wedding?

Answer

Invitations will be specific and will include the names of children who are invited to the wedding festivities. However, we encourage you to let your hair down and use this portion of the trip as a "date night" for yourself!

Question

Can I bring friends, family and/or kids on this vacation?

Answer

Yes! Please of course use this as a time to get away with or without your people. However, it is asked that during wedding festivities, only those invited are to attend. There are kids clubs and child care services at Dreams Royal Beach if you are looking to bring children on the vacation.

Question

What if I am not sure if ____ can come with me?

Answer

While it is important that you RSVP your party in full, our travel agent, Sally, says it is best that you book your stay as a "single" to start, if you are not sure who or if your plus one/family member/etc can come. All Inclusive resorts are typically better about ADDING to your reservation rather than removing or name changing.

Question

Can I go to Secrets Royal Beach if I am staying at Dreams Royal Beach?

Answer

Dreams guests are allowed access to Secrets Royal Beach casino and the Eclipse Nightclub. Private events, such as our welcome dinner and reception, are also open to our adult invitees staying at Dreams Royal Beach. Secrets Royal Beach guests have full access to Dreams Royal Beach.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Your presence is truly our gift, but should you feel you still want to get us something, we have a small registry section in the menu bar above!

Question

So typical of you, Gab, to have a themed welcome party. What do I wear?

Answer

Theme is: Dîner en Blanc! We want everyone to feel comfortable and have fun, so the dress code is white attire, but don't worry about being super formal or strict to the theme. For example, men can wear light-colored pants or shorts with a white shirt, and a white sundress vibe is perfect for the ladies. The idea is for everyone to keep their outfits in the 'en blanc' theme to create a cohesive and festive atmosphere to kick off the weekend. We can't wait to celebrate with you all in our white party attire! I know it can be tough packing for events like these. You can find a "mood board" for both the Wedding & Welcome Party in the "Gallery" section of our website - scroll to the bottom!

Question

What if I can't attend?

Answer

We cannot stress enough that we completely understand! Our sincerest hope is that no one feels guilty, as you must make the best decision for your family, prior obligations, and your budget. We know your support is with us from afar and will be throughout our marriage!

Question

Can I request a song?!

Answer

NEXT QUESTION! You know the bride loves a good playlist catered to her people.. same goes for during her wedding weekend. You can submit song requests when you RSVP or feel free to send them to themetzlerwedding@gmail.com

For all the days along the way
