Meri and Spencer met in the Desolation Wilderness, not far from Lake Tahoe, on July 18th, 2024. Both were attempting a border-to-border hike from Mexico to Canada along the Pacific Crest Trail - Meri on her second thru hike, and Spencer on a Calendar Year Triple Crown. From the Desolation Wilderness, they never left one another's side and hiked the remaining 1,500 miles to Canada together. Since meeting on the Pacific Crest Trail, Meri and Spencer have continued to let their adventurous spirits guide them through life together. Their current adventure has taken them to the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where they hope to share their love for this beautiful area with their friends, family, and each other.
