I had just moved into my new condo in Lincoln Park when me and Colleen (bridesmaid) were invited to a neighbor's housewarming party. At the party I was introduced to Bobby, who also lived in the building. We hit it off right away and connected over the fact that he went to the same high school as my dad and uncles. We quickly realized we had a lot more in common. Bobby asked me for my number, but he didn't text me for two weeks! I was about to write off our meeting when he finally asked me on our first date. Months later I found out that he had drafts of his text to me saved to his phone. Our first date was a Cubs game and the rest is history.

Bobby was planning on proposing in Lucca, Italy where our Italian sides of our family are from, but COVID happened and plans changed. He quickly adjusted and thought of the next best thing. He proposed at Ellis Island where our families started their new beginnings in the US to symbolize our new beginning together. We spent the rest of the day exploring the city and trying to eat everything we had watched on our favorite travel food shows. We can't wait to celebrate our love with you soon!
