Access to the glacier may be limited by August because of limited tourism permits, that said, the ceremony location offers a beautiful view of the glacier!

This is a trail we frequent. It is well kept and relatively flat, with beautiful views and interpretive signs for a self guided tour of some of Juneau's mining history. There's also an eagle's nest along the trail.

This North Douglas trail leads to the beach through trees and plant life, including berries, and many mushrooms to admire or harvest.
The Outer Point trail is especially nice at a negative tide, revealing a path to a small island, lined with tidal creatures like starfish, urchins, anemones and more.
There are a couple of options for a Tracy Arm Tour, but we lean toward recommending the Allen Marine Option, which lasts 5-6 hours, a bit less time than the competitor only due to a quicker vessel. You won't be bored viewing the scenery, marine wildlife and stunning glaciers.
