From drinks, to dinner, to walking around window shopping--The Star is one of our favorite date spots (the fact that it's connected to the Cowboys might have something to do with that).
This was the first restaurant Luis and I went to after moving to Dallas. They have a pet friendly patio (so Marleen could join us!), good classic food (try their fried pickles or one of their fun burgers), and a low-key casual environment.
The margaritas, the queso, and the bottomless mimosa brunch make this one of Melissa's favorite spots.
Our favorite BBQ place in the area. Don't let the long lines intimidate you, there is a bar at the entrance so you can sip some cold beer/drinks while you wait and the meat by the pound at the end of the line makes it all worth it! Luis loves the brisket and the jalapeno sausage, Melissa loves the ham and the fried okra.
Melissa's workout studio! You can find her here at least 5 times a week, and she's always trying to convince others to go try it with her. If you'd like to drop by, let Melissa know so she can give you a pass. I'm sure you'll love it!
Lots of restaurants to choose from--we love Gordon Biersch and Coal Vines-- and great places for shopping. This is where Luis and Melissa go when they can't decide where to go. We walk around until we find a place we can agree on.
The best mall in North Dallas! They have all the stores you might need, a movie theater, and some great restaurants including Perry's Steakhouse, California Pizza Kitchen, and Buca di Beppo.
Our absolute favorite movie theater! They have super comfortable recliners and you can press a button to have food and drinks (yes, actual drinks) delivered to your seat. We do not watch movies any other way!
Think Dave and Buster's meets bowling alley. This place has it all: food, drinks, bowling, arcade with prizes, laser tag, and pool tables.
Possibly the biggest furniture store in the country! This is where we bought everything we needed for our home and we could still spend hours walking around looking at everything.
Californians love In N Out, Texans love Whataburger. Stop by for a quick meal and be the judge of which one is better!
Perfect location for some hiking and enjoying the outdoors. It is also the scene of our engagement pictures.
