Question

When should I arrive in Dallas?

Answer

Your day and time of arrival is completely your choice! We will have the "I Do BBQ" starting at 2pm on Saturday, September 29th for anyone that is available. If you arrive later than that and wish to show up you are welcome to do so! You are also welcome to arrive on Sunday, September 30th. Our wedding starts at 6pm and the ceremony starts at 6:30pm, so you have plenty of time. Whenever you arrive, we can't wait to see you!

What should I pack?

Answer

The weather in Dallas can be pretty unpredictable, but late September and early October have proven to be relatively mild. Bring comfortable clothes and dress in layers. Dresses, shorts, and jeans work great this time of year. Pack a light jacket just in case, but you probably will not need it. Remember to bring your swimsuit and a beach towel. Also don't forget your formal wear for the wedding!

Where can I stay?

Answer

We have arranged a room block with the Marriott hotels right next door to our venue. Mention the Montoya Cortez wedding block and you will get a special rate on one of our rooms. Make sure to do this before August 30th! Our rooms and rates will be released after that. If you choose to stay somewhere else, Dallas has many hotels in all price ranges as well as AirBnB options.

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

While renting a car is not necessary--the venue is walking distance from the hotels and there will be family available to offer rides, you might consider renting a car if you have a large family or you wish to explore the area during down time.

How far is the hotel from the airport?

Answer

The Marriott Hotels are about 20 miles from both Dallas Love and DFW airports. Check out the "Travel" tab for more info.

How far is the venue from the hotels?

Answer

The venue is right next door to the hotels. It is less than a 2 minute walk from any of the three hotels to Chapel Ana Villa.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We are extremely grateful that our family and friends are making the trip to celebrate with us and we simply want everyone to be comfortable and have a good time. For this reason we do not have a specific dress code, but please dress up as much as you want. This is an important celebration for us and a lot of pictures will be taken, so dress your best!

Answer

We have planned wedding related activities for Saturday afternoon and Sunday evening, but to fill in your time we recommend looking at our "Things To Do" tab. We have listed out some our favorite locations for food and entertainment and encourage you to check them out!
