Travel Note
We will be camping in tents out at the cabin, at the after party location, which you do not want to miss! (find after party details under the schedule tab) For camping you can park at Pat and Henry Whipple's house, 325 Old Stage Rd, directly across from Camp Love Joy. Someone can transport you and your equipment to the cabin, or you can use a provided wagon. If you plan to camp, you should plan to come around 12-1PM to get your camp set up before the wedding. There will be an outhouse and portapotties. There will be a canopy tent with walls, tables, chairs, mirrors, etc as a dressing/powder room. If you are from out of town and arriving Friday, you may want to think about getting a hotel room for Friday night in order to have your own shower and space for getting ready. Hotel
Our ceremony is at 3pm and unfortunately check in time at the hotel is not until 3pm. If there are rooms available early, you will be able to check-in, but it is not guaranteed. If you are from out of town and you want to guarantee you have your own room to get ready for the wedding, we would recommend booking a hotel room Friday night as well. When we have attended other weddings with this same situation, we were always able to check in early, but it's not guaranteed. If you arrive at the hotel on Saturday and are unable to check in early, you will be able to use the lobby's large individual bathrooms to change etc. We are very sorry for the inconvenience! There will be a shuttle leaving the hotel at 2:15 to bring you the the wedding. There will be 2 shuttle options leaving the wedding. 8:30 directly following the reception, and 11:30 leaving from the after party. If you'd like to stay later you will need to find your own transportation back to the hotel.
