We met at my friend Karly's birthday party July 6th 2014. I was already friends with Nina (Keegan's sister) who invited him to come to the party, and I introduced myself to Keegan knowing that it was Nina's brother. Keegan and I both were definitely not looking for a relationship with anyone at that time in our lives, so we were just being 100% ourselves not looking to impress anyone. We continued to talk all night and it was so natural and comfortable. Mosquitos were bothering my head so he put his hat on my head, which I didn't think anything of it at the time but when my friends saw me wearing some boys hat they were like "oh boy, Melissa met someone." At the end of the night Keegan said he had to get going, and I awkwardly said "well for some reason I feel like I need to walk you to your car" and then standing at the car he awkwardly said "well I'm not trying to meet anyone but I feel like maybe we should exchange numbers?" So we exchanged numbers and the next day got together again and there was a beautiful sunset and a rainbow and we lived happily ever after.

On my 30th birthday, February 9th 2018, Keegan, Zeke and I went snowshoeing out to grandfather oak(my favorite tree that is on our land out towards the cabin) . when we got out under the tree, Keegan said something along the lines “ I have loved you since we met but now it’s time to make it official” and he got down on one knee, took out the ring asked if i would marry him ! Of course I said yes, we hugged, kissed, took a selfie and lived happily ever after ❤️
