Öresundståg- CPH to Kalmar
Trains depart directly from CPH airport to Kalmar C and the journey is ca. 4 hours. You can download the Skanetrafiken App to look up departure times and buy train tickets in advance and then activate when you arrive at the airport. Once activated the ticket is valid until 4 a.m. the next day. Tickets are not for a specific seat on the train unless you pay extra for this. Note that it only costs about 5 bucks to upgrade to first class ;)

SJ Tåg from Stockholm (Arlanda) to Kalmar C
The train ride from Arlanda airport in Stockholm requires that you first take a train to Stockholm C before continuing to Kalmar with one more change in Alvesta. The journey takes about 5.5 hrs. Tickets should be booked in advance as they can get more expensive the more full the train gets! Seats on the fast train have reserved seating.

This hotel has a great location right across the street from the castle. Note that in addition to the main hotel they have a building with budget rooms for families. Breakfast buffet at their restaurant is included regardless of if you stay in the normal or budget hotel.

Those looking for a budget option close to the church and reception venue can check out Vita Sands campsite, right on the beach! In addition to tent or RV camping, they have a number of cabins for rent. Each cabin has 2 bunkbeds (sleeps 4). Toilets and showers are in separate buildings shared with the other campers. Note that you will need a car to get to and from the campsite, unless you enjoy long walks!

For those interested in a stay at a luxury spa, we recommend Stufvenäs Gästgiveri which offers hotel + spa packages. This resort is farther from the city of Kalmar (car needed) but pretty close to the wedding. Book far in advance as they also host weddings and may fill up during the summer!
