We first met in 2011 in Ecology class. Melanie was Fredriks opponent for his presentation on monogamy in tropical fishes. He was super nervous because she was obviously the smartest (and prettiest) one in the class! We later grew close while studying a course on mushrooms, mosses and lichens and in 2012 officially started dating. And, as they say, the rest is history!

Melanie made an advent calendar for Fredrik with a small note every day listing reasons she loves him. On Christmas morning she gave him the ring and immediately started crying. Classic Melanie!
