Our door is always open to you! I've heard this house has the best boardgame collection in town. There are also some nice nature trails along the river behind the house.
The dates for 2023 have not been announced yet, but the sculptures are usually built in July and hang around for the rest of the summer. Find them along the beach behind the castle.

Nice swimming beach with a high dive platform for the daredevils out there. Lots of different swimming options for all ages as well as playgrounds and sporting facilities.

We haven't actually visited the museum, but the restaurant on the 4th floor has a great lunch with an unbeatable view. You don't need to pay entry to the museum if you just want to visit the restaurant.
A small art museum in the middle of the beautiful castle park. Free entry on Wednesdays after 5 pm and all day Fridays.
A nice nature reserve that is not too far from the city center. A nice peninsula to walk along the water, through the forest, and maybe take a swim. There is also an adventure climbing park... book in advance! Minigolf and bicycles also available to rent.
The island just across the water has a unique flora and fauna. It is also has beaches that are popular camping destinations for summer tourists. There are also plenty of small art galleries and antique shops to visit all over the island. Let us know if you want more tips!
On the southern tip of Öland is Sweden's tallest lighthouse. During opening hours you can pay to climb to the top. There is also a nature center with information about birdwatching as this is a popular birdwatching and research center. Öland is very long so its quite the drive, but the restaurant is also excellent!
Do you like racket-sports? Let us know if you want to try paddle-tennis... the craze that has taken Sweden by storm! There are courts you can rent literally everywhere.
