Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jared Scheurich and Melanie Klassen
Here are some of our favorite things to do in and around Golden. We highly recommend getting outside!!

Hang in Downtown Golden

Washington Avenue, Golden, CO

Downtown Golden is a cute and walkable area with shops, breweries, restaurants, and riverfront views. There are quite a few shops downtown to checkout and the river goes right through to town. Sit and watch the kayakers or rent a tube yourself and jump in! A few of our favorite bites downtown are The Golden Mill, Denver Biscuit Co, and Bob's Atomic Burgers. We also love Sherpa House and Bonfire Burritos just outside of downtown Golden.

Take a hike

There are no shortage of hikes in the area!! Lair O' the Bear Park and Genesee Park both offer great hikes close by but we recommend using an app/site such as "All Trails" to find the hike of your dreams ᵕ̈

Brave some whitewater

Idaho Springs, CO 80452

Pay homage to how we first met by getting on some whitewater. Though we have never paddled in CO with a commercial rafting guide service, Downstream Adventures Rafting, Clear Creek Rafting Co, and Liquid Decent Rafting are all located in Idaho Springs and have great reputations.

Explore Boulder

Boulder, CO

At only 40 mins from Golden, Boulder is the perfect day trip. The Flatirons provide amazing scenery and great hiking (and climbing). Boulder creek is a great spot to tube or just cool off in the river and Pearl St. is full of cute shops, outdoor retailers, and bites/bars. We would highly recommend popping by our favorite cocktail bar - The Bitter Bar!

Tour the Coors Brewery

502 14th Street, Golden, CO 80401

Visit Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater

18300 West Alameda Parkway, Morrison, CO 80465

Weather you snag concert tickets or just stop by to hike in and around the venue, Red Rocks is amazing to see!
