April 2016. Jared and Mel met taking a whitewater class at Texas A&M. 10 years later and Jared still has to watch Mel though every patch of whitewater.

May 2020. We decided to give long distance a try on a paddle trip to NC.

July 2020. Climbing in CO. Jared learned that Mel copes with humor. Mel learned that Jared copes by putting his hood up.

September 2020. Leaf peeping in CO.

January 2021. Skiing at Copper. Also the beginning of the annual tradition where Mel makes Jared follow her through trees and gets them very lost.

July 2021. Cat's wedding in Telluride.

October 2021. Fly fishing in Vail. Jared only hooked his hand twice and Mel only slipped on a rock and fell once.

January 2022. Hawaii trip.

May 2022. Mel called Jared to tell him she had a dog in her backseat. Enter Kota.

December 2023. A new years trip with friends to Flagstaff/Sedona.

May 2023. Spending time at Diamond PAS Ranch. One of our favorite places.

February 2024. Jackson Hole. The time we seriously considered living in a motel.

June 2024. Family trip to Canada.

July 2024. Made the move to Boise after 4 years of long distance.

July 2024. Visiting friends in Portland.

December 2024. Bogus has become our neighborhood hill where we often enjoy weekday night skiing after work.

April 2025. Cabo.

March 2025. Seattle for Jared's 30th.

May 17 2025. Engaged on our 5 year anni. As you can see the sky is about to open up.

June 2025. Family beach trip where we celebrated Jared's grandparents 70th wedding anniversary.

July 2025. Hiking the Kumano Kodo trail in Japan. Being from TX we thought we were prepared for the humidity. We were not.

July 2025. Exploring the Fushimi Inari shrine in Japan. 10/10 would recommend visiting Japan. 0/10 would not recommend contracting hand, foot, mouth overseas.

October 2025. Our van's maiden voyage to the Sawtooths where we got engaged

November 2025. Took the van down to Salt Lake for Thanksgiving. Family pic with our Christmas tree.
