How I met Melina: I imagine it was when our grandmas met while pushing each of us in strollers down the street. Favorite memory of us: The time we played Scrabble and Melina didn't think "won" was a word ("won" as in wonton?), singing and learning "Why Why Tell Me Why" and "Uptown Girl" on my kiddie karaoke machine, and commercial jingles on the TalkGirl - we'd each sing our parts and then speed it up or slow it down to make it sound silly ("Mr. Clean" and "Doublemint," which I still remember and sang to Trevor the other day) Quirky fact about me: Lover of True Crime, obsessed with Costco, and I really enjoy watching the birds at my bird feeders and it brings me a lot of joy for some reason Best party trick in my bag: Good at finding deals Spirit animal: BTS

How I met Melina: I was a newborn at the time so I don't remember it, but I was the first baby she ever held, and we're cousins Favorite memory of us: when she used to babysit me, she taught me this game where you fold a piece of paper in half and someone draws an animal body on one side and the someone else draws the head on the other side but you can't look at what the other person drew until the end and we made some really weird creatures Quirky fact about me: I know way too much about chinchillas and I can't monetize any of that brain space Best party trick in my bag: I can make fart noises using parts of my body and a drinking straw (learned this one from Melina) Spirit animal: Fruit Bat eating cantaloupe in bed

How I met Melina: she came to look at the "house" (a renovated stable, no lie) Laura and I lived in during college in Santa Barbara. We all sat in my room and stared at each other and knew immediately we'd get along just fine. Favorite memory of us: the Big Sur camping trip where we met those weird boys who tried to lure us to their campsite with promises of beer and sausage.
