Upon arrival, guests are invited to settle in, unwind, and soak up the atmosphere of the stunning Blackwater Castle. Take time to relax, rest off the jet lag, and explore the beautiful grounds at your own pace as you ease into the weekend. In the evening, join us for a casual welcome gathering where you can mingle with fellow guests and begin what promises to be a magical weekend in a real-life fairytale setting.

Rehearsal Day

Today is about settling into the festive spirit and soaking up the charm of Ireland. For those who wish, we’ll take an optional daytime trip into Cork City to explore the enchanting Christmas markets—perfect for picking up local treats, warming up with mulled wine, and experiencing a bit of holiday magic. Later, we'll return to the castle and don our medieval garb for the rehearsal and enjoy a relaxed evening with delicious food, drinks, and some Christmas Carols played by Ryan on his guitar. It’s the perfect way to unwind, connect, and get ready for the big day ahead.

Wedding

The big day is finally here! Wake up surrounded by the beauty of the Irish countryside and enjoy a relaxed, peaceful morning at the castle as excitement begins to build. Take in the stunning views, sip your coffee, and ease into what promises to be a day full of love, joy, and unforgettable memories. The ceremony will take place in the afternoon, followed by a cocktail hour, photos, and time to explore the castle grounds in all their charm. As evening falls, we’ll gather for a celebratory dinner, heartfelt toasts, and a night of music and dancing to authentic Irish tunes and singing, an unforgettable celebration to end our fairytale day.
