Question

What is the dress code for each of the events?

Answer

We understand attending so many events can be extremely overwhelming especially when it comes to choosing outfits! Hopefully this helps out a bit! And of course, feel free to reach out to us if you're unsure of the dress code for any event. We are more than happy to help! Pellikuthuru Function-This is a more conservative, religious ceremony. The dress code is dressy casual/garden attire or traditional Indian attire. Mehndi Party-Have fun with this one! Mehndi parties are colorful and vibrant and we'd love for you to be too! The dress code is cocktail festive attire for western wear. If you would like to wear an Indian outfit and need a little extra help on what to wear, a quick google search on "Mehndi party attire" is very helpful! Hindu Wedding Ceremony-The dress code for the morning wedding ceremony is traditional Indian attire or daytime semi-formal Western attire. Floor length gowns and dark suits are not required. Please refrain from all white attire. Reception-Most guests typically choose to change between the wedding and reception during Indian weddings. The dress code is black tie optional or creative black tie; however this is an Indian wedding! We absolutely encourage sparkle, color, and going all out! Men are encouraged to wear suits or tuxedos. Mid to floor length gowns are encouraged for the ladies. The dress code for Indian attire will be formal party wear. We want you to have fun with it and look your best, as long as it doesn't keep you off the dance floor! More than anything, we want you comfortable and having a fabulous time; nothing is more important to us than having you be a part of our wedding! If you have any questions at all on attire or need some guidance, feel please feel free to reach out to any of us!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP before January 22nd, 2023.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Children of close friends and family (addressed "The Last-Name Family" on your invite) are welcome to our Pellikuthuru/Pellikuduku ceremony, Mehndi Party, and Ceremony provided they can be closely supervised. Please keep in mind that the Hindu Ceremony can be a longer 1.5-2 hour ceremony, so we recommend making prior arrangements if you feel it may be difficult to keep your little ones in their seats for this time. Although we love your kids, to allow for an evening of relaxation, we politely request no children under the age of 12 during our reception in order to allow all of our guests, including parents, to thoroughly enjoy themselves and celebrate into the night without having to worry about little ones. We want this to be your day off and your chance to party without worry! We hope you understand this decision to have you all to ourselves on our special day! A professional babysitter will be provided on site for children during the reception if required.

Question

I have a food allergy and/or only eat a special diet; can I make a special request?

Answer

Please do! We want to make sure everyone thoroughly enjoys every event without having to worry about a stop at the Taco Bell drive thru on the way home. Please let us know of ANY dietary restrictions when you RSVP and we will absolutely accommodate.
