Flight
Newark Liberty International (EWR) — Recommended Newark is the closest airport to Jersey City—about 20 minutes by car. Uber/Lyft to the Westin typically costs $45–60. This is the best option for guests flying in from the West Coast. JFK International (JFK) JFK is on the opposite side of New York City, so travel time to Jersey City is 60–90+ minutes depending on traffic. Uber/Lyft fares run $100–140+. If you're flying into JFK, budget extra time and money for the trip to the hotel. LaGuardia (LGA) LaGuardia requires driving through Manhattan traffic to reach Jersey City—expect 45–75 minutes and $70–100+ for an Uber/Lyft. Not ideal, but doable if it's your only option. Public transit is technically possible from Newark and JFK, but all routes require multiple transfers. We'd recommend a car for convenience.
Travel Note
Arriving: The most scenic route is the Liberty Landing Ferry (the "Little Lady"), which departs from Brookfield Place in Battery Park City and drops you off at Liberty Landing Marina—just steps from Liberty House. The ride is about 15–20 minutes and costs around $7–10 per person. Ferries run roughly every 30 minutes. Returning: The ferry stops running between 8:00–9:00 PM, so plan to take a car home. Uber and Lyft are readily available. A ride back to Manhattan typically costs $50–80 depending on traffic and surge pricing. For a budget-friendly option, take an Uber to Exchange Place PATH Station (about 10 minutes), then catch the PATH train into Manhattan. It runs 24/7. Note: We don't recommend taking the Light Rail to Liberty State Park Station. The walk to the venue is over a mile and not ideal in formal wear.
Travel Note
Liberty House offers on-site parking (both valet and self-park). Validation available.
