The Baraat is a joyful procession celebrating the groom's arrival, accompanied by a dhol (traditional drum). Feel free to clap, dance, or simply enjoy the celebration. There's no wrong way to participate.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Early May in the New York area can be unpredictable. Temperatures typically range from the mid-50s to low 70s, and with rain about 50% of the time. We recommend layers and suggest bringing a jacket or wrap for the outdoor portions of the day. If the weather doesn't cooperate, both ceremonies will move indoors.

Liberty House is about 15 minute drive from the Westin Jersey City Newport. Ubers and Lyfts are readily available.
