Although the wedding venue is in Itasca, we have the beautiful city of Chicago just a drive or train ride away! If this is your first time to the area and have some time to kill, feel free to check out the following and have a great time!

Navy Pier

The pier is located on Lake Michigan, just North of the Chicago River and is an iconic spot in Chicago. It includes parks, gardens, shops, restaurants and family attractions. Some of the more popular attractions include the Crystal Botanical Garden and the Ferris Wheel.

Shedd Aquarium

This is a fun attraction for children and adults alike. The aquarium, located on the shores of Lake Michigan, is one of the largest in the world and houses around 32,000 animals. Don’t forget to see the Beluga Whale exhibit when you’re there!

Lincoln Park Zoo

This is a great way to spend the afternoon in the city – and they don’t require a ticket. This is one of the oldest zoos in North America, which has over 1,100 animals from close to 200 species.
