Follow the Animas River Trail for a scenic walk along our favorite river. This is a 9 mile paved trail along the river through town. Or rent bicycles and ride!

The entrance to Mesa Verde is 45 minutes from Downtown Durango. The park is known for its well-preserved Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings, notably the huge Cliff Palace.
With over 200 shops, stores and restaurants there is something for everyone. Meg's favorite store is Urban Market and be sure to go all the way to the South end of Main St to check out the train station!

Ride the scenic chairlift up and back down at Purgatory Resort. Or try out the mountain coaster! Be sure to stop at The Nugget Mountain Bar for a beer after.
