Yes. We will require that all guests be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus to protect our families and other guests at our wedding. If you are unable to attend due to this reason, we respect your decision and will hope to celebrate with you at another time or in another way.
Many of our wedding events will be at higher altitude. The city of Durango is at 6,500 feet. The town of Silverton is at 9,300 feet and the lodge is up above 10,000 feet. If possible, we recommend getting into Durango ahead of time and spending time acclimating. It is important to drink extra water and be careful with alcohol consumption. There are several supplements you can buy to help with acclimation. If you have a heart or lung condition we recommend talking to your doctor about medication to help with acclimation or use of an oxygen tank.
There are a few rooms available at the lodge for the bride and groom, our immediate family and our wedding party. There is a campground located 1/4 mile down the road if you would prefer to camp. The next nearest accommodations are in Silverton approximately 20 minutes away. A list of places to stay will be located under the "Travel" page.
There is no cell service at the Eureka Lodge and very limited wi-fi. We hope our guests will come and disconnect with us during our wedding celebrations!
At this time, we are not planning to do a wedding gift registry. We recently bought our dream home and are focusing our energy on furnishing it and doing small renovations to make it "ours". If you'd like to contribute to our honeymoon fund there is a link on our website under registry. We will also have a box for cards at our wedding. That said, your presence at our wedding means the most to us.
