FAQs

If you have any other questions that aren't addressed here, please reach out to Megan at 704.451.7184 or Patrick at 415.497.2210.
Question

Any tips for getting here?

Answer

Cell service is spotty in this area, so pull your GPS up before getting off the highway! If you are having trouble finding the venue, please call Megan's sister Christine at 704-770-6261 for assistance.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Fall in the mountains! Tahoe in October is gorgeous and relatively warm, with high 60s/low 70s during the day and high 40s in the evening. There is always a slim chance of snow, but it's pretty unlikely. Please check the weather closer to your departure and pack accordingly!

Question

What is the lodging like?

Answer

You can view a map of the cabins here: https://stanfordsierra.com/lodging/ Click on a cabin and then the link to view pictures and floor plans.

Question

Can I book my own room, like a hotel?

Answer

Since this is a Summer Camp and not a hotel, we have the esteemed honor and responsibility of matching up our guests for sleeping accommodations (and you thought a seating chart was hard!). If you have any friends or family attending that you'd prefer to bunk up with, drop us a message. We will do our best to accommodate all requests but appreciate your flexibility with guest tetris. Ultimately, all of our guests are awesome and wonderful and we know everyone is in for a fun weekend :).

Question

Should we stay at the venue or find lodging elsewhere?

Answer

We have the entire venue to ourselves and enough lodging onsite to host everyone! Our preference is for everyone to stay on site at the venue. If you decide to stay off site, it's a ~25 minute drive to the main road (route 89). It's a single lane, remote road for most of the way with no lights. Please note that there is poor to no cell service once you leave the venue, so we recommend starting your GPS while you still have cell service. We will have Mapquest directions from the venue to Route 89 printed out at the front desk as well.

Question

Do you have any packing suggestions?

Answer

- Hat, gloves, heavy jacket - Casual or athletic day-time attire for events, hikes, and leisure - Clothing you can layer to suit the range of weather - Swimsuit / flip flops for lake activities - Hiking shoes if you plan to go on the guided hike - Athletic shoes if you plan to play tennis, volleyball, basketball, etc. - Stiletto heels not recommended for the ceremony site. Wedges or chunky heels should be totally fine.

Question

Are you serious about no gift?

Answer

So serious. We consider this to be a destination wedding and know costs will add up. Your presence is truly the only gift we need!

Question

How much does the weekend cost?

Answer

$400 per guest for 2 nights; $200 per guest for 1 night.

Question

What does the rate include?

Answer

All lodging, food, beverages, and activities for the weekend.

Question

Can we bring our wonderful children?

Answer

Regrettably, we cannot accommodate babies or children for the wedding weekend. The only children that will be in attendance are our nieces and nephews who will star in the wedding. We apologize for the inconvenience + extra tricky planning this adds to your plate. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Did Megan and Patrick read my RSVP comment?

Answer

Yes! Messages and requests received. We love you too :).
