Lake Tahoe is a gorgeous area in the Sierra Nevada Mountain range and one of our favorite places. We got engaged in Tahoe and it’s home to some of our best memories, so it’s the perfect place for us to tie the knot. We hope you'll immerse yourself in nature with us for the weekend to relax, celebrate, and unplug. THE WEEKEND Check-in on Friday, October 13th any time after 2:00 PM and depart Sunday, October 15th at 1:00PM. The wedding ceremony is on Saturday, October 14th. ATTIRE The wedding is black tie so bust out your favorite glitz and glam! The weather in Tahoe can be very nice this time of year thanks to our long Summers, but the temperature does drop at night in the mountains. We recommend that you pack layers, including a warm jacket, hat, and gloves. While the paths between the cabins and lodge are paved, we also recommend bringing sturdy shoes (chunky heels should be fine), and whatever else you might need for outdoor activities like a swimsuit, sneakers, or hiking boots. THINGS TO DO The venue operates as a family Summer camp and is located right on the lake. We've planned some special camp activities throughout the weekend, but there are loads of onsite activities like boating, hiking, beach volleyball, and tennis. You can also hang on the beach, dock, or one of the many patios on the property to relax and take in the views. ACCOMMODATIONS We have reserved the Stanford Lodge and cabins for all of our guests to stay onsite together. This is a private lakefront lodge that sits at the base of Mount Tallac & the beautiful Fallen Leaf Lake. The majority of the cabins are 2-3 bedrooms with 1 bathroom. Guests will have a private room within a shared cabin. Since this is a Summer Camp and not a hotel, Patrick and Megan have the esteemed honor and responsibility of matching up guests for sleeping accommodations. KIDS We wish your whole family could be with us to celebrate but unfortunately we do not have the venue capacity to accommodate children. Thank you for understanding. Patrick and Megan met the very first day she moved to San Francisco from North Carolina. As luck would have it, they were next door neighbors. She was on the roof taking in the view of the Bay when Patrick stepped onto his rooftop and introduced himself. Their paths would fatefully cross again 8 months later when they bumped into each other while walking home one night in the North Beach neighborhood. The spark was lit, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Fennec joined the family in 2020 and brought even more joy and happiness into their lives if that’s even possible. Their wedding wouldn’t be the same without him.
