Guys and Girls, We are nearly ready for the big day and are so excited to share it with those of you that can come! A few notices: - As of 02 August 2021, Costa Rica remains on the UK red list. This means currently that travel from the UK to COSTA RICA will incur a 10 day hotel quarantine requirement in the UK at a cost of: Rate for 1 adult in 1 room for 10 days (11 nights) £1,750 Additional rate for 1 adult (or child over 11) £650 Additional rate for a child aged 5 to 11 £325 Clearly we do not wish for you to do this or recommend doing it. Therefore if our guests cannot go via a green or amber (vaccinated in UK/USA or EU only) for 10 days before heading back to the UK - this will be your only option. We really hope the UK continues to open up more and more and these crazy rules will continue to be relaxed with either Costa Rica being upgraded to Amber/ Green or by way of relaxed rules on red list counties. We completely understand if you're unable to make the wedding because of the above and we are super grateful for your flexibility. We still have 3 months so fingers crossed!
You need to show proof of vaccination (a record or vaccination card) with Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Astra-Zeneca, or Johnson and Johnson. These are the only approved vaccines. The document/vaccination card must include: Your full name Date you received each dose. *The last dose must have been administered at least 14 days prior to travel. Formula (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Astra-Zeneca, or Johnson and Johnson) You will still need to fill out the online health pass that can be found at: https://salud.go.cr/
There is this little app that you can download and use to decide if you like someone's face enough to talk to them or not. Matt and Meg did that and they both liked enough about each other's faces to swipe in the correct direction. Matt was coming to Jacksonville (where Meg lived at the time) for some training with the USCG. They connected over their common career path and made plans to meet up for brunch. Meg thought she was just being nice and a good ambassador to her nation by showing Matt a breakfast place that wasn't Denny's. After hours of chatting, laughing, crying, and more laughing the waitress was shooing them out of the cafe. They made plans to meet again in a week (to attend the local Gun Show, obviously) but ended up wanting to see each other sooner than that. There were some proper curtsy lessons, arguments about the names of baked goods (its a cookie, not a biscuit!!), and plenty of other learning moments but we have been inseparable ever since!
