Question
Where is your wedding being held?
Answer
Our wedding (both ceremony and reception) will be held at the historic Vandiver Inn in Havre de Grace, Maryland. Havre de Grace is a small port town in Harford County and is situated on the mouth of the Susquehanna River and the head of Chesapeake Bay. The Vandiver is a fifty minute drive from BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport and the surrounding Baltimore area. It is an hour and thirty minute drive from the Washington DC area.

What time should I arrive?

Our ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM on June 29, 2019, so you can start arriving at 3:30!

Where should I stay?
Answer
We have arranged a hotel block at the Hilton Garden Inn in Aberdeen, MD. It is a short, 5.6 mile, ten-minute drive or Uber/Lyft ride to and from our venue. Please book your room by June 2nd, 2019 to take advantage of the block rate. There is more information and a direct link to book a room in our hotel block under the 'Accommodations' tab.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
Yes! There is parking on-site at the Vandiver Inn, and there are many side streets immediately surrounding the venue.

What should I wear?
Answer
Cocktail attire is requested! We would love to see everyone looking fabulous in a sharp suit and tie or a pretty cocktail dress. The Vandiver Inn is a historic building with brick pathways in the courtyards and gardens where the reception will be held. Please keep this in mind when choosing footwear.

Can I bring my child/plus one?
Answer
In an ideal world, we would love to have everyone and all of their friends and kids and THEIR friends and kids, but unfortunately we have limited space. Please refrain from bringing anyone not specifically named on your invitation, and, in the future, we can return the favor by babysitting for you, especially if it means we get to travel!

Can we take/post pictures of your wedding on social media?
Answer
During our ceremony, we ask that you be present and in the moment with us while we share in this celebration of the next step of our lives together. We request that all cellphones are turned off or on silent, and put away. We have a fantastic team of professional photographers who will be doing their thing during the ceremony, so you can sit back and enjoy yourself. For our reception, feel free to take pictures, and post them to social media with our wedding hashtag #MnMdomatrimony2019

How do I avoid looking like I'm trying to be part of the wedding party?
Answer
Easy! Our wedding party will be in navy blue and gray with yellow accents. Maddy and Megan will be in white.
Question
I've never been to a lesbian wedding before. What should I expect?
Answer
What a coincidence, neither have we! Truthfully, we don't anticipate it being much different than a straight wedding, other than the presence of two brides. We will still have a ceremony, a ring exchange, cocktail hour, reception, dancing, food and drink, and most importantly, dessert!
