March 8, 2012 'Twas the night before Spring Break and all over campus Not a student was stirring, not even a shuttle bus But over at two-oh-two Can you guess who? Maddy and Megan were hanging out Long before they adopted Scout It was one of those nights when you know Spring is on it's way. Warm. Humid. Smelling of grass. Maddy said goodbye to all of her friends on campus, but didn't want to go home quite yet. She decided to go visit Megan. Maddy and Megan sat outside talking for HOURS. Maddy felt cold so she stood and walked up and down the street while Megan sat patiently on the curb. Maddy got ready to go by leaning on the hood of her car. Megan walked right up in front of Maddy and put her fingers through Maddy's belt loops. Then, Megan began naming the bones, using scientific terms (of course). Each time she said the bone's name, she'd place her hand over Maddy's corresponding bone. She started with the Phalanges, Metatarsals, and Tarsals. Up the leg, over the Fibula, Tibia, Patella, then past the Femur. Megan took Maddy's hand and slid over the Metacarpals, Carpals, and continued to the Radius and Ulna. She grabbed Maddy's shoulders, saying Scapula, and lightly placed her fingers on Maddy's Clavicle. Lastly, as rain began to drizzle, giving the two an excuse to stand close, Megan took Maddy's Mandible in her hand, leaned in and gave her a kiss.
