Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be at Castello il Palagio, a Medieval castle built in the 13th century. The events will be held outdoors in the courtyard and the gardens, weather permitting.

We, unfortunately, cannot accommodate additional guests. Due to the international nature of the event and limited capacity, we can only allow the people named on your invitation.

Our wedding will be at an elegant castle, so we would love to see our family and friends dressed up with us! We are requesting cocktail attire, but feel free to dress up even further (you know Megan will be). Please no white.

Late May is the most beautiful time of the year in Tuscany! It is usually a perfect 76° F during the day but can go as low as 54° F at night.

Will there be transportation to the castle?

Answer

Roads in Italy can be difficult to navigate, so we will be providing a shuttle service from Firenze (Florence). If you do decide to drive to the castle, there will be valet parking. More information to come soon.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Food is a cornerstone of Italian culture and deeply important to us. There will be a traditional Italian wedding meal consisting of appetizers (with lots of cheese and bread!), pasta, Florentine Roast Beef, and even a Gelato cart. Megan insisted on the importance of the Gelato, so she hopes you all eat some.

Aperitivo e stuzzichini, poi antipasto di mozzarella di bufala e pomodoro, ravioli verdi ripieni alla mozzarella in salsa di selvia e burro, un roast beef alla fiorentina con contorno non mi ricordo di cosa, dolce, e poi visto che Megan ha insistito tanto ci sarà pure un carrello coi gelati.

Of course! When you RSVP, there will be a field for you to enter any dietary restrictions. We want to make sure everyone has a delicious (and safe) meal!

There are restrictions in place by the Italian government for traveling to Italy. On top of this, we will be monitoring the situation and keeping everyone up-to-date if any extra precautionary measures are necessary.

Please do not take any photos during the ceremony. We will have professional photographers there and we would hate for a cell phone to ruin a beautiful picture.
