Q & A

The Wedding Website of Conner Geddes and Megan VanKalsbeek
Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Ample parking will be available in the lot at the corner of Okoboji Grove Road and Zephyr Drive—just east of Casey’s and across from Scooters Coffee. (See photo above) Parking attendants and golf carts will be on hand to shuttle guests directly to the ceremony location. For navigation, we recommend you enter: 156 Okoboji Grove Road, Arnolds Park, IA 51331 into maps on your phone, and it should take you right to the parking lot!!

Question

Where is the ceremony and reception taking place? Will it be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at Pillsbury Point State Park (bathrooms are not available at the ceremony), followed by our reception at the Roof Garden Ballroom in Arnolds Park. The two venues are just a scenic 10 minute walk apart along a lakeside sidewalk overlooking the beautiful West Lake. We encourage guests to enjoy the stroll and take in the views, but parking attendants will also be available to shuttle you back to your car if preferred.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4:30 pm. To avoid being late and missing anything, we recommend arriving by 4:00 pm to ensure parking and finding a seat before it starts! There will be golf cart shuttles available in the parking lot that will drive everyone to the ceremony location. Arriving by 4:00 pm should allow the parking attendants to get everyone shuttled over in time for the ceremony!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our friends and family dressed up with us! Summer cocktail wear is requested. What does this mean? For women, medium to long colored dresses that are fabulous and comfortable. We will be walking on grass! For men, a suit or button-down shirt with dress pants. Ties and jackets are optional!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space at our venue, we are only able to accommodate those formally invited on the invitation. If you receive a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation in order to RSVP.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

First off, thank you so much for traveling the distance to celebrate with us! We have provided everyone with a great list of hotels near the venue that you may book for the night or the weekend! This will be located under the travel tab with links provided to each hotel to check availability and book!

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Please make sure to RSVP "yes" or "no" by May 10, 2026. This allows us to give our vendors a correct count prior to the wedding!
