Things To Do
Here's a fun bar hop as you walk from Monona Terrace (ceremony) and The Concourse Hotel (reception):
1. Old Fashioned
Delicious cheese curds. If you’ve never had cheese curds before, you must try them!
Get a brandy old fashioned or try one of the many beers on tap.
2. DLUX
Byron and Megan used to get bottomless mimosas here on the weekends.
Good brunch food and some fancy cocktails. But often times there’s a wait.
3. Rigby
A frequented location to hang out on a Saturday.
We have reserved the upstairs at this bar for after the wedding.
4. Paradise/Shamrock
Dive bars! Paradise is dark inside and has darts and pool.
Shamrock is the gay bar on the square and has darts.
5. Silver Dollar
Cash only! This is the place to play shuffleboard!
6. Great Dane
They make their own beer here. Buy a growler to go.
7. Ian’s
So many creative types of pizza. Stop here if you need a snack before the reception.
Madison Farmers Market

This huge producers-only farmers market wraps all the way around the capital square! It is one of our favorite things to do in Madison on a Saturday morning! If you are staying at the Concourse hotel it is about a 1-2 minute walk just around the corner!
Memorial Union Terrace

This is our favorite spot on the UW campus! Enjoy a pitcher of beer or a delicious Babcock ice cream cone on Lake Mendota! It's a wonderful place to spend an afternoon or catch a sunset over the lake. On Friday nights they also have live music!

The state capitol is the focal point of the downtown isthmus and a Madison must-see! You can schedule a tour or take a self-guided tour! We recommend checking out the observation deck for a great 360 degree view of downtown and the beautiful lakes!
