YES!! As of August 17, people 12 and older are required to show proof they have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine to enter indoor establishments in NYC. Our wedding venue will have someone at the door checking your vaccine card and ID. Please be sure to have both vaccine card and ID with you at all times. This is true for our venue, and all indoor establishments in NYC. We recommend prior to traveling to NYC that you take a picture of your vaccine card to keep on your phone. For those who were vaccinated in New York, we recommend that you download the Excelsior Pass App from your phones app store for quick and easy entry. For those who were vaccinated outside of New York, we recommend that you download the NYC COVID SAFE App. We realize many of you may be traveling from outside of NYC. If you have questions on this, please feel free to email us ahead of time at: kieltycorning@gmail.com
We recommend taking a cab or uber/lyft. The venue is approximately a 15-20 minute ride with normal NYC traffic from the wedding block hotels, HOWEVER, the NYC marathon is taking place on the same day as our wedding. We suggest trying to leave even earlier. While the marathon does not run by our venue, there will be road closures throughout all 5 boroughs and increased traffic. Many road closures will impact traffic from the east side to the west side of the city that day. Traveling back to the hotel and after party area after the reception ends should have normal traffic. If you have comfy shoes and feel like walking, it is 1 mile walk from the INNside to the entrance of Current on 18th street.
ASAP! We have a limited number of rooms. For more information, check the "travel" tab. At the INNside, due to COVID-19, the hotel has a very generous with their cancellation policy. You do not need to pre-pay for your hotel room and will only be charged at check-out. If our wedding date has to change, you will not have a hotel penalty.
No, parking is difficult and expensive. Rental cars are available at all major airports, but we recommend taking a cab or public transit.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” or the name of your significant other, then yes! If not, we would love if it was just you.
If traveling by car, we recommend a classic NYC taxi, Uber of Lyft. We suggest downloading the Uber or Lyft app ahead of time so you are ready to go! If you are exploring or going sight seeing, we recommend packing a comfortable pair of shoes and that you be ready to walk! The best way to see many parts of the city is by foot. If traveling by Subway, we recommend using Google Maps to type in your starting address and ending address. You can then click the train icon at the top so it tells you how to get to your final destination via public transit. Google Maps will often give a combination of walking and subway instructions. For a detailed NYC subway map, we recommend the "New York Subway MTA Map" app available in your phone app store. Please note that a subway ride costs $2.75 one way, or you can purchase a $33 7-day unlimited metrocard pass if you plan to do a lot of sight seeing during your trip.
NYC is a magical place! We hope that while you are here you are able to take in the many sights and sounds the city offers. Please visit the "things to do" tab for a few of our favorite places. Megan often day dreams about being a NYC travel blogger, so if you need any suggestions, please reach out to us!
Yes. This is a NYC guideline for all indoor venues... everything from restaurants, to theaters, museums and more. Many outdoor venues may require this as well. While traveling about the city we recommend you have your vaccine card on you at all times AND your photo ID!
