Vail In Town Shuttle and Bus

Here is a website that shows actual routes and times that the shuttles will be in service in Vail. Attached also is a link to a map of all of the routes that the bus and shuttles go to throughout the villages. https://www.vailgov.com/docs/dl_forms/busmap72.PDF

Flight

Denver International Airport

This is the airport in Denver and is roughly 2 hours from Vail. You would need to rent a car or take the Colorado Mountain Express shuttle to get to Vail.

Flight

Eagle County Regional Aiport

May be more expensive than flying into Denver. American Airlines and United fly in here. Renting a car would only be necessary if you wanted to do some exploring. Otherwise you can shuttle from the airport or Uber.

Also mentioned on this website is an app that was just recently developed for the town of Vail that features listings for specials and deals offered by businesses, an events calendar, parking availability, custom maps of the town and the mountain, plus a nightlife, shopping and lodging guide, and an activities directory. The app has the ability to help guests navigate around town with a GPS-based navigation system. Download is free.

Other Hotels/ Places to Stay

There is a plethora of other hotels in Vail Village. All of which will be amazing to stay. I would recommend staying anywhere close to, or in the village if you don't have a car. Just make sure when you look on the map it is close to the village or the Lodge hotel where the reception will be. VRBO and Airbnb are also great options, especially if you are wanting to go in on a bigger house with another family or couple. Again, I would only recommend doing this if you have a rental car, or are extremely close to the village. Anywhere that is in East or West Vail, Avon, Beaver Creek, or Minturn are definitely not close, even though it looks close on the map. Just try to stay as close to Vail Village as you can if you don't have your own transportation. I added in a website that shows all of the lodging that is close to or in the village. The Vail Village bus will go to all of these places for free too.

Shoulder Season Travel Note

Keep in mind, that since the wedding will be during a off season time, restaurants and shops will not be operating on normal hours. Most places close down earlier, or open later. All of the the places that I have included in the 'Things To Do' section will be open during the time of the wedding. However, I would always call and/or check online to make sure the place you are heading to is open (especially if it is cold, you don't want to walk all the way to get somewhere, and it be closed. Not a fun feeling. I know from experience)
