Some couples say that when they met, everything just fell into place & the rest is history. For Evan & I it was different. After being introduced by friends, we decided to go out on a date. He took me to the local spot called Our Bar & within about 5 minutes, it was just that 'OUR' bar. I was amazed how we were both so enthralled in our conversations, that we lost track of time. For those of you who know me well, know I can talk to a wall. When I realized that there was someone that could talk as much as I could, I knew something special was in the works. Shortly after this time & we had begun to admit to ourselves that we were starting to fall for one another, he got the news that he was being moved from Reno, Nevada to Mobile, Alabama. The two of us weren’t really sure what to make of this. However, Evan, who's always providing comfort for me in difficult times, let me know that it was fine & that he was going to fly me out there to see him. Extremely nervous, paired with a kick in the pants from my Maid of Honor, Kat, I agreed to fly out there to see him. After sitting on a plane for four hours, anxious & constantly calling Kat and my mom to calm my nerves, the moment I saw him at the bottom of the escalators in the Mobile airport, all of my worries, fears & apprehensions melted away. He was standing there with a giant smile on his face & a bouquet of flowers. I knew that after that moment Evan & I were going to embark on a journey together & never turn back. Although the odds were stacked against us in the beginning of our relationship & not one part of it was easy, it was the easiest decision I have ever made in my life to say “YES” to spending the rest of my life with him. It wasn’t that things effortlessly fell into place that got us here to this point. It's the fact & I truly believe this, that God has made us especially for each other. I think this was His plan for us all along. That‘s our beginning & the first chapter of the story of the rest of our lives.
