Tips for Traveling!
Did you know the Adirondack Park contains over 6 million acres? We appreciate the effort that our out-of-town guests are making - especially those driving far distances!
We hope you will take this opportunity to explore the region on your way to or from the wedding.
From Albany, the fastest route (3 hrs 30 mins) will take you through Blue Mounatin Lake in the heart of the park. This route is mostly back roads. Alternatively, heading north on 87 and cutting through Keene Valley, Lake Placid & Saranac Lake will offer spectacular views. This second route is half highway, half back roads (3 hrs 40 mins).
From Syracuse, taking Route 81 north through Watertown and heading over to Rt-3 will be the fastest route (~2 hrs). Picking up Route 3 in Mexico provides an opportunity to see a few towns along Lake Ontario, including Sackets & Henderson Harbors. This adds about 45 mins to the commute.
