Believe it or knot, we're getting married (again)!

We met in Newport on Wednesday, July 19th, 2017, having a few drinks at 22 Portside and listening to live music by The Z Boys at Perro Salado. Michelle grew up on Aquidneck Island and was managing The Mooring restaurant downtown, while Brad was in town for Towed-Array classes taught at the Naval Station. We hit it off pretty well, however we never fully realized what we had gotten ourselves into, especially Brad. We started our relationship over 500 miles apart and with a 3 month deployment to Bahrain right off the bat. Through hand-written letters and the help of WiFi/iMessage, we were talking to one another every single day (we still do)! After several months of flying back-and-forth and driving halfway to meet for long weekends in Philly, we made a leap of faith to see where this could take us. The fall of 2018, Michelle, and her fur-baby Desi (as in “Ricky Ricardo”) moved to southern VA to be with Brad. We’ve been building quite the life together over the past few years, including raising a new doggo, Frankenstein, travelling, challenging one another, and bettering ourselves every step of the way. We recently moved to Aquidneck Island (again, where Michelle grew up) at the beginning of 2023. Michelle is currently the Bar Manager at Castle Hill Inn Relais & Chateaux, while Brad just started his new studies, Composite Technology and Marine Systems, at the International Yacht Restoration School in Newport with plans to graduate next June 2024. It’s been a long and winding road to have this strong, loving foundation, and we are just so excited to celebrate our love with our friends and family!
