FAQs

The Wedding Website of Scott Medlock and Lindsay Theo
Question

Should I really be concerned about the elevation?

Answer

Yes, especially if you're coming from sea level. Drink plenty of water, wear sunscreen and remember 1 alcoholic beverage at altitude = 2 at sea level.

Question

What should I wear to the ceremony / reception?

Answer

Something that brings you joy and is comfortable! This is no black tie event, but if that brings you joy feel free to break out the tux. If you need more specifics, semi formal should work :)

Question

Can I bring my pets?

Answer

You know we love animals, but the ceremony and reception probably aren't the best spaces. We would love to see them Sunday at brunch!

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

YESSSSSS!!! We will have a live band, so bring some dancing shoes and ear plugs.

Question

Do I really need to dress in layers?

Answer

While writing this we have no idea what the weather will be like, but the weather always spans at least a 35 degree change from day to night, so best to be prepared.

Question

Do I need to bring a gift?

Answer

While your presence is our present, check out the Registry on this website! Since we are full grown adults with lots of stuff, contributing to our honeymoon fund would be MUCH appreciated.

Question

420 suggestions...

Answer

Welcome to Colorado, the first in legal weed. Enjoy, have fun and please pay attention and trust serving size recommendations. There is no smoking at the reception or ceremony though.

Question

What else should I do in Colorado?

Answer

There is so much! We love seeing a show at Red Rocks (Rainbow Kitten Surprise and Red Clay Strays are within a few days of the wedding), hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park next to beautiful Estes Park, Maroon Bells in Aspen, the Grand Mesa in Grand Junction, rafting in Salida, and our AAAA baseball team the Colorado Rockies plays at Coors Field in Denver (and will get drilled by the Padres that week). If you want to spend time in Denver, there is the wold famous Casa Bonita restaurant, Lakeside Amusement Park, and Meow Wolf. And Colorado has more craft breweries per capita than any other state (our favorites are Fiction, a book themed brewery, and Longtable, our neighborhood brewery where we used to be able to bring the dog until someone narced them out).

Question

What if I want to drive to the ceremony?

Answer

Guests will be able to park in the Gondola Square Parking Garage. A map can be found here(https://www.steamboat.com/-/media/steamboat/maps/summer-2024/parking-summer-2024.jpg?rev=d297fca267ba4df19b375ad6fa2def23) the parking map has the garage you will park in labeled as P1, Gondola Square Parking Garage Paid Parking. You can park for free using the access code 4773. First, find a parking spot then go to the parking kiosk, enter your license plate number, find the name of the event in the product list (you may need to select option 5 to see additional products), then enter the access code. If the parking kiosk appears to be out of order, please note there are a total of 3 in the garage so you can locate another working one to enter the code. The access code will reduce the parking rate to $5 and will be valid for parking from 8am to 6pm. There is only a 30 minute grace period after the camera scans your license plate before a citation is issued. Please note that If you are parked outside of this time frame or if you do not follow the above procedure a parking ticket will be automatically issued.
