We went to Barnes and Noble on our first date. It was supposed to be a study break for Danielle with a "maximum of three hours" before returning to studying. Blake just thought that the date would be an interesting experience to get to know someone going to school to be a doctor. They started with coffee, even though they both hate it, read the book "Just Because" by Matthew McConaughey together, and then ended up eating Philly cheesesteaks in the food court before wandering the mall aimlessly for a total of seven hours. Looking back, they should've known then that they would be together forever. The book that they read on their first date, "Just Because", became a major focal point in the couple's relationship. They have reread the book together on momentous occasions, including anniversaries, and have featured it in Blake's living room decor. The imagery and poems of "Just Because" also provided the inspiration for the book that Blake wrote for when he proposed to Danielle, and the illustrations have also made their way into the couple's wedding invitations and decor that will fill the Glasshouse during the celebration of their nuptials.
