We’re getting married!

We initially met in grade school, but we have no recollection of actually meeting. However, we often found ourselves waiting after school in the local church common area. We did plays together and had friends in common, but we never actually talked to each other until December 1, 2017. It depends which one of us you ask, but Gavin is adamant he approached me first, despite being a reserved guy. We talked for hours, so long that Gavin missed the Virginia Christmas Spectacular (a big budget pageant hosted by Thomas Road annually), about anything and everything. I remember talking about Pinterest, Gavin remembers small town gossip, but we both remember the day fondly and feeling a special connection. We went on to slowly fall for each other throughout high school, staying friends until it became obvious to everyone that we were much more than friends. Gavin attempted to take me on a date over the summer, but I was so nervous I spent the entire date in the bathroom. A few months later on September 3, 2019, Gavin asked me to be his girlfriend, in the same place we met, and the rest is history.
